Large Georgian silk-work embroidery. Mary and Archangel Gabriel.An exceptionally large and beautifully worked antique Georgian painted watercolour and silk embroidery, on silk, depicting the Biblical scene of the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary. It is late 18th century, probably from around 1790. The workmanship is exceptional and it's a really lovely piece. In very good condition for its age (though there are some splits in the silk towards the edges, which is normal for this kind of embroidery as the silk does

Broke upon second use

The umbrella never really opened right. I wasn't sure what the problem was, but today it's completely broken. The crank (which was installed incorrectly to begin with) doesn't do anything. I've only used it a couple of times, and I'm 2 days passed the return window. Very disappointing. It is nice looking though.
